  1. Good morning Pond Dwellers. Thanks for the post, Reese. I’m not even going to say “It’s his own fault” because, it’s his own fault. I am torn between wanting him to fire Mueller (and dig his hole deeper) or letting Mueller continue. I like this team he’s assembled. Whatever course the future takes, it’s our job to resist and vote. We’ve got this.

    Today starts a week of triple digit weather. Not good at all. Up to fill the cup and start my day.

  2. {{{rto}}} – well, Hillary warned us. And we listened. But there was too much media-induced Hate (from both sides) against her (not to mention voter suppression and possible Russian vote tampering). And considering the international nature of the 6-RW corporation consortium that owns 90% of the media and influences the rest, you can’t even call it treason. On the part of the owners. The actual talking heads who followed the orders their paychecks depended on? Well…

    We’re at war. Good news is morale building, but we’re still at war. Time it takes to win a war. We will be grateful for battles won and remember the fallen in battles won and lost. And we will be angry at the evil and channel the anger to fight better in the next battle. Meanwhile, we’ll get through one day at a time until we win. {{{Moose Villagers}}}

  3. Stupid is stupid is the Vagina Grabber in Chief impeachable offense thanks Reese

  4. Even if Mueller were to tell the House that obstruction is provable and beyond doubt, I’m still not convinced the current House will move on impeachment proceedings. If we take the House in 2018, it’s more likely, but the Senate would still be a big question mark. Despite that, I think the ongoing investigation is necessary and helpful…45* will be severely hobbled, and the Republicans will be in obvious disarray. We’re already starting to see movement amongst independents to the anti-Trump side and that will likely continue and increase with each new revelation. In addition, the courts are now indicating that tweets can be used as evidence; the more unhinged the Orange Shitgibbon gets, the more he tweets…also good for us.

    In the meantime, I’m keeping to my call [almost] daily plan and trying to be cognizant of when the news is becoming too overwhelming for good health. Yesterday was such a day, and I spent last evening sitting in my backyard with a book, a glass of lemonade, and the pups at my feet. It was just what I needed.

  5. 76 in Chicago metro… good morning folks!

    Trump will be tagged with obstruction….. that’s why we see the smear campaign going on right now. The question is will the house act on it?

    Probably not.

    • Will it help us in 2018/2020? I think it will. Make the house wear their own obstructionist label.

      • Oh, I think there’s no doubt it will help in 2018 and hopefully, 2020. Politics aside though, the long-term ramifications of observing and enforcing the rule of law…or not…are what are going to make-or-break us as a country. We’re never going to convince the 27-35% of the dead-enders who are authoritarians themselves, but I think a good number of people are waking up to how fragile our system is if we have people in power for whom laws are nothing more than an annoying suggestion. As long as we can marginalize the far-left too (themselves authoritarians), we should be able to slowly, but surely, come back from this.

        • {{{DoReMI}}} – that’s my thought. This war we are in comes down to the basics. Are we a nation of laws or are we a nation of despots. Almost all Americans hold to the myth of the former but an unfortunately large number actually prefer the latter if disguised well enough. Right now the disguises are being/have been pulled off. I firmly believe that 70% or better of our country prefer rule of law – and will vote for it if it is presented so they see it that way.

          That of course is the problem. How to reach them when the media is the propaganda arm for the rule of despots people. The nation has risen on rule of law. It only survives and thrives on rule of law. We can come back from this and I believe we will, but it will be a lot slower than it should be. {{{HUGS}}}

  6. This graphic is truly shocking, but I have to admit, there’s a part of me that thinks it may be more of a blessing than a curse.
