Week-long Welcomings from Moosylvania: September 26th

Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.

Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (usually Saturday night with a Sunday date). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).

The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.

So … what’s going on in your part of Moosylvania?

NOTE: The comments page will split off after 20 or so left margin comments with the most recent comments on the current page. To see the older comments, scroll to the bottom of the page (right before “Leave A Reply”) and use the Pages Tool to view previous pages, shown here with 3 pages of comments available and Page 2 circled.

  1. I’m not going to the Women’s March here. My back just barely stopped hurting and all that walking & standing.… I think would be unwise. I’m doing laundry & watching the news. Going to make next week’s overnight oats & package up the vegetables for my sandwiches this afternoon. But right now, I’m watching the news, eating breakfast & resting.

    • {{{anotherdemocrat}}} Resting sounds like a very good idea. Healing Energy & moar {{{HUGS}}}

  2. It’s 69 going to 77, overcast, might get rain this afternoon. Generated 8.77 KWHs yesterday. Not on track for 300.

    Rough night. A little sleep, a lot of not, then very hard couple of hours & woke up groggy. Which I still am. Nobody’s in serious danger right now but nobody’s in a good space either. Keep on truckin’ – all of us.

    At least Murf was actually hungry this morning. That’s a very good thing. Coffee. Oatmeal. Twitter. Not sure what else. Bright the day, Meeses. {{{HUGS}}}

  3. Have company staying here so had to get them fed. 58 going up to 76 in Kingston NY
    Puerto Rico

    I shit on LUMA, the PNP and the ashes of Romero Barceló.

    A woman tells of the sacrifices she has to undergo every day to take care of her grandmother, a bedridden lady who has been affected by the blackouts

  4. Good morning, 50 and cloudy in Bellingham. Dinner was tasty and fun last night, but my old knees are still throbbing so I’ll stay off them this morning. Fortunately my sister’s friend is driving her to the airport. She has enjoyed her visit…. quiet time with me, time for herself, family visits, and hiking with her friend.

    Best wishes to all.
