It is 45 degrees in Tucson with an expected daytime high of 77. Sunny skies are in the forecast.
Nasty weather across the middle of the country – I hope BFitz kept power.
I made myself watch one news show on MSNBC to listen to experts discuss the tRump indictment. When the civil war breaks out and armed MAGAts are in the streets of New York, I want to understand the issues. It will of course take months before there is an actual trial and it is unlikely that tRump will plead guilty for a reduced sentence so the only short term Schadenfreude available will be the notion that the judge might slap a gag order on TFG. We could hope that the penalty for defying the gag order (he can’t possibly STHU) is to be tossed into jail. That is the last thing I need to say about Trump the criminal defendant; I am sure there will be plenty to say in the future about his disgusting followers and the political party that appears to be embracing felonious conduct.
I watched both NCAA Women’s Basketball semi-finals and was disappointed by LSU and their anti-LGBT coach advancing. I hope Iowa, winner of the second game, sends Mulkey home on Sunday as a loser. The South Carolina team was gracious in defeat and I got to see the game I wanted to – good shooting, good defense, a minimum of fouls and a down-to-the-wire finish. I am glad to see the SC two year winning streak broken and new teams in the Championship game.
It became April! I am not ready so I shall declare today March 32nd and tomorrow March 33rd and start April on Monday.

Good Saturday morning, Meese! Tomorrow is Palm Sunday, so I’d better hurry up and disseminate a copy of “The Donkey” to all my writers. I first heard that poem 70-odd years ago in Singapore when our teacher read it to us during our “quiet time” after lunch. I was very struck by the phrase, “Some moment when the moon was blood.” It’s odd, the things that stick with you for a lifetime.
Anyway, Bfitz was OK last time I emailed her yesterday evening. I’d have called but not many can understand my rusty wagon wheel voice! The storms were east and south of her.
I used to live in Little Rock, so was horrified by news of the storms. I wonder how my schools fared. I attended St. Mary’s Academy, Central High School, and Hall High School. I’ll have to Google.
Right now it’s just finished raining lightly. The temperature in Ashburn is 64 F., going up to 76 F. I hate to go out, but I think I need to. We need groceries, for one thing.

Good morning. Back to chilly 50s (yesterday morning, it was 72), I’m putting off my walk till later. I’ve got next week’s food done so today will be about finding job app work & doing paid surveys (do enough paid surveys & I can cover next week’s groceries). For now, just watching the news & eating breakfast.
First off, thanks everybody for the concern. The tornadoes went south and/or east of us here in NW AR. We had high winds with a fair amount of small trees branches hitting the ground/blown against the fences but nothing major.
It’s 44 heading for 64 and a bright sunny day. So far at least. We wrapped up March with 332.3 KWHs, not quite the 338 of last year but better than the 325 of 2020. And wrapped the 1st quarter with 692, not quite as good as the 696 of last year but better than the 681 of 2021. The best April we’ve ever done was 476.5 in 2019 but I’ll be quite happy with anything over last year’s 416.
I’m glad I mostly stay off my TL on twitter. It’s still mostly tfg. Show me a conviction. That’s the next time I want to see or hear anything about him. Meanwhile I’m sad to say the Biden administration has rapidly dismantled the almost decent safety net they so rapidly put together in response to COVID. And a Deplorable judge has just declared unconstitutional (because it requires employers to do life-saving things for their employees) the part of the ACA that covers things like HIV drugs. Eugenics and genocide have always been US policy. We’re just being open about it again. Sigh. Add in the very environmentally unsound (to put it politely) authorizations of drilling and pipelines – on public & Native lands – and let’s say I’m disappointed. No, both parties aren’t the same. But ours is doing some Deplorable things right now.

It’s been a fantastic journey, mostly ignored by the white male misogynist media of course. Karen Attiah, who is neither white nor male, chimed in with her little two cents. After I saw the headline, I declined to read the article. She’s envious because she is not brilliant, powerful, and sought after, not to mention beautiful.
Good morning, 43 and raining outside my window today. My favorite garden shop is open for the season now so I want to stop by and say hi to Mary and Wally. I want to plant one more early spring container but the rest will have to wait for warmer weather.
I basically rested the day away yesterday so I hope I can do more today. My list is long but my aging body is creaky! AS always, my best wishes to all.
