Opposition Research, File #162-A

From redstate’s front page article “Stop Complaining about Donald Trump”:

So here is a hint for the other men and women running for President. If you want to tap into what Trump is getting, you do not have to be bombastic. You do not have to resort to hyperbole with every statement. But you do have to do something Republican candidates are loathe to do. You have to run against the Republican Party.

Hoo boy! Even Republicans hate the Republican party?!?! Sounds oddly familiar… like Seinfeld’s Bizarro World?

  1. If Republicans hate the Republican Party and Democrats hate the Republican Party … then who’s left? Or is that who’s right???

    • The missing thing is that republicans hate democrats more than either of those.

  2. What is the Republican Party?

There is some evidence that there isn’t a national Republican Party any longer, simply an elephant logo which the various pet candidates of billionaires are using to get on primary ballots. There are 17 candidates, at least 12 of whom have their own money sources and are thus theoretically capable of staying in the race for a very long time. The RNC will subtly promote Scott Walker because of the deep ties between RNC chairman Reince Priebius and those who have been nurturing the political ambitions of Walker since the 1990s. Now THAT will produce some HAHAHAHAs.

The national media organizations are already aligning themselves with certain candidates, not by promotion, but by the hit pieces they run. Grab popcorn!!

    • The denials are starting:

Priebus and U.S. Representative Paul Ryan have been conduits to national power for Walker, all three of them fortysomething products of the same patch of Wisconsin dairyland. Yet as Walker formally enters the 2016 Republican presidential race next week, his rivals will be watching for favoritism. The party’s chairman, in particular, is supposed to be neutral.

“Reince is a lawyer, so he understands the concept of conflict of interest,” said Pat Brady, a former chairman of the Illinois Republican Party who was a national committee member when Priebus was first elected in 2011.

      Here! Let me fix that!
“Reince is a lawyer, so he knows how to game the system”

  3. John McCain can look in the mirror and thank himself for this sideshow. He went a long way toward creating this when he nominated the Tundra Twit. And fck him and his fee-fees when it comes to being insulted by The Donald. He’s earned every last word.
