Week-long Welcomings from Moosylvania: Dec. 22nd through Dec. 28th

Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.

Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (usually Saturday night with a Sunday date). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).

The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.

So … what’s going on in your part of Moosylvania?

NOTE: The comments page will now split off after 20 or so left margin comments with the most recent comments on the current page. To see the older comments, scroll to the bottom of the page and use the link.

  1. It’s 61 heading for 64 in Fay., AR and so cloudy the PV system is still in night mode. sigh. We generated a hair under 5 KWHs yesterday and the monthly is 158. I’m not sure we will but hoping we’ll get to 160 today and maybe finish up the month over 170 (which will make it the 2nd most productive December thus far). It’s gonna start raining in a few hours so iffy light or not I need to go do my grocery shopping. Fortunately there’s very little traffic out before 10 am on Saturdays.

    Some not so good anniversaries happen this month. Probably today’s isn’t the last of them but it is the 3rd anniversary of patriotdailynewsclearinghouse walking on. Heart’s ease to all who love her. Everybody here’s still surviving. I’m hoping we can move to thriving this year. Or at least surviving a little more comfortably/less stressfully. And to that end I will keep Channeling Healing/Helping Energy. Bright the day, Meeses. {{{HUGS}}}

  2. Good morning, 38 and cloudy in Bellingham. I’ve rested enough to be restless so I may leave the house today. RonK needs to return the wool slippers I gave him for Christmas and our favorite taco place is right next door :)

    When I stopped trying to sew for Christmas I wrapped up some “place holder” gifts and then consulted with everyone re what I had intended to sew. So I’ve got approved projects set out on my work table. and I’ll enjoy finishing everything now that the pressure is off and their personal choices are made.

    Best wishes to all on this quiet morning.
