Week-long Welcomings from Moosylvania: December 24th

Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.

Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (usually Saturday night with a Sunday date). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).

The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.

So … what’s going on in your part of Moosylvania?

NOTE: The comments page will split off after 20 or so left margin comments with the most recent comments on the current page. To see the older comments, scroll to the bottom of the page (right before “Leave A Reply”) and use the Pages Tool to view previous pages, shown here with 3 pages of comments available and Page 2 circled.

  1. It’s 30 heading for 54 and sunny at the moment. Supposed to cloud up later. I just hope it’s much later – sundown later. Yesterday we generated 2.8 KWHs and the m-t-d is right at 130 with 2 production days to go.

    Restless night then went to sleep hard just before sunrise and slept in. Other than that, just another Saturday. Off to start my boosting day. Holding the Good Thoughts for everybody. {{{Meeses}}}

  2. Good morning, 54 and raining outside my windows today. RonK has gone for a walk in the woods and I was going to do some light pruning but have lingered with coffee, music and reading around on the addictive computer. So now I need to get some basics done, lots of laundry!

    Our son Erich is a licensed surveyor and is working on an interesting project with the city of Blaine Wa, which is situated on the border with Canada. As he as talking about his complicated project this morning we shared how grateful we are that the border we live so close to is peaceful. I have so much angst re what is wrong with country now it helps to stop and consider what is still good. And on that note I’d best get busy. As always, my best wishes to all.
