Week-long Welcomings from Moosylvania: November 19th

Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.

Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (usually Saturday night with a Sunday date). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).

The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.

So … what’s going on in your part of Moosylvania?

NOTE: The comments page will split off after 20 or so left margin comments with the most recent comments on the current page. To see the older comments, scroll to the bottom of the page (right before “Leave A Reply”) and use the Pages Tool to view previous pages, shown here with 3 pages of comments available and Page 2 circled.

  1. It’s 39 heading for 56 and mostly sunny today. Yesterday was a wonderful sunny/production day – we got 7.2 KWHs which is the best single day all month. The m-t-d at 131.5 isn’t on track and actually can’t reach 180 in the time left but it gained a bit.

    Fineena claim to a decent Thanksgiving was that her sister didn’t call. A visiting nurse came yesterday and redid the bandage on her left leg. Which is showing a little improvement. But she still needs to get back with her various doctors as soon as she can.

    I accidentally got started boosting before checking in this morning – when I opened my bsky page – boom! – there were folks in trouble. I haven’t started on Xitter yet so I’d best get over there. Holding the Good Thoughts for everybody. {{{Meeses}}}

  2. Good morning, meeses! Saturday …

    It is 50 degrees in Tucson with an expected daytime high of 61. It is raining and has been raining since 5am when I got up. It appears as thought it will stop raining around mid-day. We have nowhere to go today and will be watching sporting events on TV so that works perfectly for us.

    I woke up needing to fix something that Microsoft broke at one of my client’s sites and spent several hours fixing that and making sure the problem does not exist anywhere else. Now I am exhausted and will kick the rest of my planned weekend project work to tomorrow.

    See all y’all later!

  3. Good morning, 37 and frosty outside my windows today. I rested the day away yesterday so I hope I can do more today. If my old legs cooperate I’ll put the Christmas
    Spode in place in the kitchen and dining room and start some baking for next weekend. My sister arrives tomorrow and the family party is next Sunday so I’ve got lots to do. Best wishes to all.
