Week-long Welcomings from Moosylvania: November 12th

Welcome to The Moose Pond! The Welcomings posts give the Moose, old and new, a place to visit and share words about the weather, life, the world at large and the small parts of Moosylvania that we each inhabit.

Welcomings will be posted at the start of each week (usually Saturday night with a Sunday date). To find the posts, just bookmark this link and Voila! (which is Moose for “I found everyone!!”).

The format is simple: each day, the first moose to arrive on-line will post a comment welcoming the new day and complaining (or bragging!) about their weather. Or mentioning an interesting or thought provoking news item. Or simply checking in.

So … what’s going on in your part of Moosylvania?

NOTE: The comments page will split off after 20 or so left margin comments with the most recent comments on the current page. To see the older comments, scroll to the bottom of the page (right before “Leave A Reply”) and use the Pages Tool to view previous pages, shown here with 3 pages of comments available and Page 2 circled.

  1. I despise the ADL. I have seen their spokesperson on MSNBC shows in the past bothsidesing Democrats and Republicans. Complete bullsh*t. If he can’t see that one party embraces hate because it is necessary for them to win elections, he is a freaking idiot. Not all Democrats are perfect but in general support for Jewish people is a Democratic Party principle. There are no Republican Party principles except “get elected by any means necessary.”

  2. Good morning, 38 and light clouds outside my windows today. I’m icing my knees, hoping they will cooperate with what needs to be a busy day. Sue will be here this afternoon so if I can do my part I’ll have her help getting the house clean and the beds ready for holiday visitors. Our Thanksgiving will be small this year but December will be a bit of a challenge for my old legs. Fortunately RonK can now do more of the ongoing leaf collection. As always, my best wishes to all.
