TGIF…Bada bing bada boom…

Whoa Nelly…The last few days have been what we all knew was coming and sure are glad it finally got here. The movie “Fast and Furious” has nothing on the political soap opera playing out before our eyes. With Dump making the mistake of his life, thank you dipshit Donnie, by firing Comey and I believe accelerating the investigation and subsequent serving of the initial warrants brought by the U.S. Attorney out of EDVA. More warrants are expected in the days ahead and which I believe will tie Trump and Pence into this mess. The GJ brought by NY AG Eric Schneiderman will I believe tie Trump into a RICO case with Russian Money laundering.

This was going to happen sooner or later it seems thanks in part to James Comey and the FBI and the IC but I believe a large part of what panicked Trump and associates is the outing of all of this by Louise Mensch,Claude Taylor, and John Schindler on twitter and aided by Keith Olbermann on his GQ videos. I believe Trump seeing things getting too close for comfort, panicked and made the mistake of firing Comey thinking he could control it afterwards. Fat chance of that happening becasue Comey had already made contingent plans in case he was fired.

Trump doesn’t understand people and the constitution and just what it means to most of us. He’s so used to getting his way and believes he can manipulate people to his way of thinking. Same goes for Bannon, McConnell, Ryan, and most of Trumps administration. Painful lesson they are learning that at least 66,000,000 of us actually don’t believe what their shit and are willing to go the extra mile in fighting them.

Greed has paid a big part in this too. It’s not like they don’t have money coming out of their ears with Adelson, and the Kochs and their ilk. They got greedy though and took the money the Russians oligarchs waved in their face. I believe this is all Trumps part becaue I highly doubt the Repubs solicited the Russian money and it’s going to come out Trump has been acting as the go between with Russia for decades. Not going to help the Repubs though. They are big boys and have to take their lumps because it’s not like someone twisted their arms. They wanted the power and all the prestige to go along with it and now will get their just rewards.

So with this all happening, multiple Republicans going for the ride directly to jail and or ruin with Trump, what is the outcome of all of this. If this goes as deep as we are seeing it’s looking like a constitutional crisis of the first order.Remember, we are talking about Trump, Pence, Ryan and mumerous other caught up in this. Will this taint all Republicans enough to get them swept out of office? We don’t know yet but it seems plausible and we will just have to wait and see.

What I’d prefer to see is the election nullified and a new election held. I know I am going to hear that won’t ever happen because the Repubs won’t stand for it but you’re forgetting that the hardliners that cause most of the problems seem to be embroiled in this mess they have created and the rest should be embarassed enough to put up a relativly feeble fight.

Rightful scenario would be for Hillary Rodham Clinton to be sworn in as President and special elections held nationwide to replace the Repukes convicted of treason and a multitude of other charges.

  1. Wow, Batch, tell us how you really feel, bro! :)

Seriously, loved the post. Curious about this part:

Fat chance of that happening becasue Comey had already made contingent plans in case he was fired.

Did someone tweet this? Haven’t been on Twitter yet this morning.

Love the baleful yellow stare of that bald eagle! Would like to think it’s turned on the Rethugs.

    Everyone have a great day!

    • Comey knew this was coming so I can’t believe he didn’t have backups on everything as he knew how crooked Trump and his deplorables are. From reading and what McCabe had to say the FBI is still behind Comey and I believe that the raid yesterday was pushed forward because of his firing.

If what we have seen is any indication going forward a lot of Repukes are in a world of hurt and by association the whole party is not looking good.

  2. Thanks Batch…finally I think the investigation has gone past the point of no return and you are right that the Comey firing gave it a big push…still going to take a long while yet because of the wide scope of it and the involvement of a lot of Republicans….I’m chilling the Champagne….

  3. Morning meese…Hot and muggy here in Tampa which is nothing new…Reached 95 yesterday and will approach that today…

I’ll be in and out today…Have fun!

  4. Morning, Meese…a sunny day here FINALLY!!!! And going up to 64 today, so a lovely spring day all in all.

I’ve been thinking about what will bring down 45* first…the legal system or his own indifference to doing the job, leading to resignation? It certainly won’t be impeachment, not without a huge, glaring crime that Republicans can no longer gloss over. “Obstruction of justice” is just another way of doing business in Republicanland, as is the disregard for the Emoluments Clause. Maybe a RICO indictment or a money-laundering charge would be enough, but at this point, I haven’t seen a single Republican in the House or Senate who does anything more than mouth platitudes about Country First (yes, I’m looking at you, Sen. McCain) before toeing the party line. As somebody said on Twitter yesterday, the first Republican to stand up will become a national hero…but I’m not holding my breath.

The other night I had a dream that 45* destroyed the Resolute desk and trashed the WH on his way out. Think about that for a moment…who would have ever expected that this sort of dream would happen about the country’s electoral college winner?

    • Yay, a spring day! Hope you are feeling better… Surely spring days call for walking the Bassetts ;)

      • Probably not, but we have a huge backyard so some fetch may happen. Of course, this is what fetch with a Basset is like:

        • OMG, the poor Basset’s expression!!! “help… I don’t know what’s going on!!”

          • They certainly have us well trained. We throw the ball; they stare at it; we retrieve the ball and throw it again. Rinse and repeat until we’re too tired to play anymore…at which point, our pups think they have earned a treat, and give us puppy dog eyes until we relent or…(there is no “or”).

  5. Good morning, Pond Dwellers! Thanks for the excellent thread, Batch. With all that’s going on, they almost write themselves, right? I checked Twitter before I got out of bed (to see if I wanted to, if there was still a world). Wow. I can’t do tweets but the gist is 1) TRump is threatening Comey by alluding to possible taped conversations (shades of Nixon). 2) tRump’s lawyer says no Russian income in last ten years with few exceptions (guess he doesn’t want to lose all credibility) and 3) tRump making excuses for his lying surrogates (because they can’t be expected to keep up with his lies). …and that was just out of the first ten tweets. I love that he can’t quit digging that hole.

52 and sunny in Sacramento. High today of 71. Off to get more coffee and check the squirrel.

    • Every time I think we’ve seen a new low, he manages to go lower. Beyond that, I’d love to hear the tapes if they actually exist, and I suspect Comey would feel the same. 45* is so delusional that he is probably incapable of recognizing whether something is damaging to him, rather than his “opponent.”

  6. Morning meeses! Been a long week at work and I’m looking forward to the weekend… Should be nice and relatively cooler here over the weekend. But I wouldn’t mind rain ☔

  7. {{{Batch}}} – I keep trying to get in here to read your post and I keep getting interrupted so just {{{HUGS}}} and I’m thinking of you but probably won’t get a chance to read until tonight.

Also Hai and {{{HUGS}}} to da Moose Village.

    • {{{{fitz}}}Take your time…no hurry…The thread isn’t going anywhere…LOL…moar{{{{Hugs}}}}

      • {{{{Batch}}}} – definitely up to your stellar standard. :) – I guess I don’t have as much trouble with jsfv as other folks do, but while he irritates me he doesn’t bother me. He’s incompetent. (See Mello, Heath). I’d much rather the Extreme Left have an incompetent messiah of the moment than a competent one who might actually tear apart the Dem party base. If anything, jsfv solidifies our base against the idiotic and impossible policies of the Extreme Left as well as the evil policies of the Extreme Right. So I only want him going away if he’ll take his followers with him. Otherwise he keeps them irritatingly but mostly harmlessly occupied. moar {{{HUGS}}}

  8. From the other day, but it provides some interesting, and chilling background: http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/05/10/james-comey-firing-trump-lavrov-putin-215124

On a personal level, Lavrov is universally disliked among U.S. diplomats. “He’s a complete asshole,” a top Bush official told me for that Foreign Policy profile. Added a top Obama official in a conversation Wednesday: “He’s a nasty SOB. He would be relentlessly berating and browbeating and sarcastic and nasty. His job was to berate and beat and harass us and Secretary Kerry into conceding the Russian view. It wasn’t defeating America; it was that Russia can’t win if it has to compromise at all.”

These are unbelievably striking comments—and not at all what former senior officials have to say about foreign ministers from other countries in the world, even those with whom the United States is at odds.

And many of these same officials believe that gives Lavrov—who went out of his way at a news conference Wednesday to praise Trump as a “businessman” who wants to get deals done—an advantage in negotiating with Trump at a time when there is little clear about his foreign policy except that he wants to cut deals that are proving frustratingly elusive on other fronts.

    • Good take on the Russian…I’d have to think most if not all of Putins people are ex-KGB or at least have the same mindset.
This makes me feel better just having read it…

      • I think he probably sensed your and everyone else’s anxiety. This POS is turning into the Nixon years all over. The tapes. The firing of Comey. The coverup by his staff. I wonder how long before Bannon, Prience, Spicer or Conway leave. Somebody has to break.

  9. Howdy Meeses hell of a week, great post let’s bring the House of the Vagina Grabber in Chief down

  10. Checking in late, thank you Batch! Love to Meeses.
