It Takes a Village…TGIF

Good morning meese

Since we have had enough biting our fingernails over Dump and his stupidity and Bernie and his big mouth I thought I’d post some funnies today just to try and get our minds off it all for a few minutes…

Here’s our girl…

This is your TGIF thread…Fire away

Have a great weekend!

These two fucking morons are interchangeable

Morning everyone…We’ve been thrust into “Friday the 13th” becasue of stupidity. The stupidity of voters on the right and on the left….Because of narcissistic demagogues on the right and the left…Because of complacency and people thinking voting won’t do anything, so what’s the use…because of a media that has given in to greed and once again stupidity and becasue of a governing body in Congress that doesn’t know how to compromise on anything…It’s “fuck you society”, you’ll get what we give you and there is nothing yo can do about it in Congress..Prime example is what is going on right now with SCOTUS.

The stars aligned to give all of us something we never in a million years could have imagined..WE got a worthless moron as President(gag) and a worthless moron that cost us not seeing Hillary in the WH and is now trying to cost us the midterms.

Are all Dump voters bigots, racists, misogynists, deplorables..No, just ask Bernie…But they all voted for Dump who is everyone of those things and worse which makes everyone of the voters just as deplorable if not more so. That’s the biggest problem with Bernie and his crusade to get them over to our side. When they voted for Dump they were saying they were alright with those adjectives and proclivities that Dump showed, hell he shouted them to anyone that would listen. We listened and they didn’t or didn’t care becasue they agreed. Now here we have an idiot that thinks becasue,(just guessing)he thinks he got the Popes blessing, he’s always right and everyone else is wrong, even though he has no fucking idea what the hell he is talking about, that he can reshape the Democratic Party by cosying up to the deplorable voters while throwing everyone else under the bus.

That’s the one thing that Bernie has always been lacking…A fucking BRAIN…Same goes for Dump…hence interchangeable…

Tweeter time…

Nice thread…

The shit gets deeper…”You can’t fix stupid”

An extended version of my normal closing…Because she deserves it and becasue she’s out and about…

Get your tissues ready for the entrance…

This is your TGIF thread…

It Takes a Village!…TGIF

Not feeling too good today so this is going to be an abbreviated tweetorama instead of one of my infamous rants..haha

Yes…Her….We started out in 2015 and even earlier, with me it was 1992, with Hillary Rodham Clinton as our hope and dreams as our first woman President!

Then the Democratic Party made the huge mistake of allowing this jerk to run as a Democrat even though he had always been against our party. First photo is how I see him 2nd photo is his worthless self. Kinda wonder after looking at the either photo why anyone would vote for him.

After the Saint of Vermont ruined everything (incoming CT) by colluding with Russia via Tad Devine we ended up with this foolish, moronic, selfish poor excuse for a human being who we are finding out is really related to Vladimir Putin because Putin took a dump and this is what came out…Aptly named DUMP.

Right now this lovable creature would be a better President. Looks a lot smarter than the illegitimate buffoon we have spending our money golfing in Palm Beach every wekend when he’s supposed to be doing his job. oops…Forgot…He has no idea how to do it.

As always I’ll close out the thread with Our Girl…

This is your Friday open thread…Fire away!!!

It Takes A Village…TGIF Edition!

Many of those who actually voted for real estate tycoon-reality show TV host Donald J. Trump for President last November now have “buyer’s remorse” over their decision.

What I find so ludicrous is that there are still morons in our country that support the ape acting like he’s presidential when that is far from the truth.

Most new Presidents use a “first 100 days” to define their Presidency.  Halfway through Trump’s first 100 defines a manic President out of control in a White House where the staff still has trouble finding light switches and the doors that lead into and out of rooms.

I join with many others who shake their heads and wring their hands over the incredible mess in our nation’s capital. If it’s not over Trumps narcissistic ways, chaos in the White House, the lies coming from nearly every spokesman in the WH or anyone associated with the conservatives, the turmoil created by the Trump-Russia connections and all too many people shrugging it off as nothing, the turmoil created by the WH in the far-east, and these are just the tip of the iceberg.

There are two things even more damaging to our country and the gov’t that we elect but can’t seemingly govern for the people.

The Republicans utter lack of showing any compassion for anyone but themselves and their partisan and prejudiced  policies is a large part of why we are where we are right now. While Trump isn’t who most wanted as their President they are seemingly fine with it now as long as they are given free rein pushing through their conservative dismantling of our societies forward progress and installing repressive policies meant to demean and dehumanize anyone they see as liberal and beneath their status in life. The one thing I think they are forgetting is that they are elected by the citizens and work for us and can be voted out, which we are all hoping every available voter is educated enough on their BS so they thrown to the gutter.

The other thing we should be looking at and fighting against is pseudo President Bannon’s dismantling of the gov’t apparatus. There are numerous slots within any administration that need to be filled to carry out the everyday workings of the gov’t and some are high level positions. As of now there are 512 posts which Trump has failed to put forth a nominee. For instance the State Dept. is lacking at 111 positions and DOD has 50 un-staffed positions. This article from the WaPo gives a good breakdown of this and why it’s an alarming catastrophe in the making…

GoGoGo Maxine….Love this woman!!!

As always I’ll end my thread with our champion and the woman that rightly our President…

This is your open for Friday….Have a great weekend!

Hide in your shadow.

It Takes a Village… TGIF Edition

This whole mess we are having to put up with, concerning Trump and his collusion with Russia to subvert our Democracy, has been coming for quite a while. Thought I might  put up some of the back story today and explain just what Putin has been attempting with regards to Trump and our country.

According to NBC News, our Intelligence Community has “a high level of confidence” that Russia’s president ”personally directed how hacked material from Democrats was leaked and otherwise used.” Putin’s motivation was revenge, according to unnamed senior IC officials, since he despises Clinton, plus the Kremlin sought to create confusion in the United States to make us appear an unreliable ally and an ailing global power. The Russian president grew up in the KGB and long worked in counterintelligence. To his core, Putin is a secret policeman, what Russians call a Chekist—a term worn with pride in the Kremlin. It’s an easy bet that Putin was briefed on this most special intelligence operation daily; it was very likely the first item in his morning briefing from Russia’s spy services, a quotidian event that Putin—unlike our president-elect—takes seriously.

The Kremlin has done this sort of thing many times to countries it dislikes or fears, indeed it’s old hat to a seasoned Chekist like Putin. But the Russians have never done anything quite this brazen to their “Main Adversary”—as they called America during the Cold War and today do again. To be clear, Putin ordered his spies to execute strategic Active Measures against the United States and top Democrats in 2016 because Moscow possessed enough stolen information to do so. He didn’t fear retribution.

Knowing this it can be ascertained that Putin cultivated Donald Trump over the many years and times they’ve come into contact regardless of what Donald Trump states as “fake news”. It’s been stated by Donald Jr on a number of occasions that the Trump family has had business dealings with Russia and DJT has a known associate Felix Sater who is a reported mobster and immigrant from Russia. After it was widely publicized that Sater had underworld connections Trump stated…

“If he were sitting in the room right now, I really wouldn’t know what he looked like,” Trump says in court papers from a 2013 law suit.

Yet, even as the Trump administration was preparing plans to ramp up deportations, the president’s longtime personal attorney sat down for coffee in a Manhattan hotel with this Russian immigrant.

According to The New York Times, Trump attorney Michael Cohen and Sater were party to some amateur diplomacy aimed at settling the Russian war on Ukraine with a plan to push Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko out of office.

We know the sordid story about Gen.(ret) Michael Flynn and his past dealings with Putin. His being photoed with Putin and Jill Stein in Moscow, and his taped conversations with Russian intelligence which untimely led to his resignation as head of the NSC.

Now we have Mister Hypocrisy himself Jeff Sessions the AG appointed by Trump, who should never have been confirmed in the first place, getting caught in taped conversations with the Russian Ambassador before and during the election. When he was questioned by the Senate during confirmation he lied about never having any contact with the Russians.AG Sessions is now being regarded as recusing himself and or resigning his post….As for the Russian

All of this is bad enough when taken alone but the one thing that is ticking me off is the disregard of everything regarding Trump and Russia by the not so distinguished Repukes in Congress. The two heads of the Senate and House Intelligence Committees,Repukes, Rep. Nunes and Sen. Burr that are ardent backers of Trump are acting like  it’s just hogwash and need to recuse themselves also. The partisan politics being played in Congress right now needs to be beat down with a stick and they need to get to the bottom of this. If it’s nothing, like the Repukes keep saying, then an investigation will tell everyone that. My take is that it’s something and they all know it and it will ruin their brand if it comes out.

On to the tweets regarding this travesty…

As always, I will end my diary with the woman that brought all of us here.

This is your open thread…Have a great weekend!

It Takes a Village TGIF Edition 2-24-17

Good morning meese…This Saturdays vote for the DNC chair is important and MEH all at the same time. It’s MEH becasue it’s not the endgame we as Democrats should be viewing it. We all know what needs to be done…Get out and beat the bushes and get the people that sat out the 2016 election and get them energized. To be inclusive with the people we see as the future of the Democratic party…POC, women and millennials.

There has been much made out of the WWC vote lately, especially by the guy all of us love to disavow, Bernie Sanders. He keeps running his mouth about his usual shtick, economics, and don’t get me wrong it’s important in the overall scheme of things but not the end all that Birdie Sanders makes it out to be to the exclusion of identity politics. As usual his merry band of jerkoffs from the alt-left has picked up on his bullshit and run with it. It’s like the primary all over again and a lot of people aren’t warming up to it.

“I am not interested in anarchy,” Marcel L. Groen, chairman of the Pennsylvania Democrats, told the Washington Times. “It was over the top and I contacted Keith, and Keith tried to stop it, to his credit. I want their enthusiasm and energy, but I do want it harnessed,”he said, adding, “Let’s say you were completely uncommitted. You don’t want 300 people calling you and telling you what to do.”

These are the seven original candidates in the race for DNC chair. Approximately 450 members of the Democratic National Committee will convene to vote.Tom Perez, Labor Secretary under PBO, Keith Ellison US Rep. from Minnesota, New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Raymond Buckley; South Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Jaime Harrison; Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana; Idaho Democratic Party Executive Director Sally Boynton-Brown; and television commentator Jehmu Greene.

Jaime Harrison has since dropped out and thrown his support behind Tom Perez…”Tom and I have dedicated our careers to helping people through public service,” Harrison said in the email. “With so much at stake, our next Chair will lead the fight of a generation. We must all fight side by side. I’m standing by Tom Perez’s side, and I hope you will join me in doing the same.”

Last week, Ellison  picked up the endorsement of another former candidate, New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley, who also leads the association of state party chairs.

Pete Buttigieg is the Mayor of South Bend, Indiana. He is one of America’s youngest mayors, and the Washington Post has called him “the most interesting mayor you’ve never heard of.” An officer in U.S. Navy Reserve, Pete took a leave of absence to serve in Afghanistan in 2014, earning the Joint Service Commendation Medal for his counter terrorism work. Under his leadership, South Bend has addressed its toughest challenges and is growing at the fastest rate in years. He’s what you would call the “dark horse” candidate but he’s gotten some high profile backing such as Howard Dean, Martin O’Malley  and 3 former DNC chairs.

Buttigeig hopes for election would come down to a deadlock between Perez and Ellison…This is Howard Deans assessment…

Asked about Buttigieg’s chances of besting his better-known opponents, Dean said the Indiana mayor is “everybody’s second choice,” positioning him well in a party that remains divided after Hillary Clinton’s surprising and devastating defeat in last year’s presidential election. Perez and Ellison “represent certain interests inside the Democratic Party who are at odds with each other,” Dean said, opening a window for Buttigieg to win the chairmanship.

“We need outside-the-Beltway. I’ve had enough of all these endorsements from senators and congressman,” Dean said, recalling his own tenure as DNC chair. “I think it’s time for an outsider. I was an outsider. I came in. We didn’t have the House, the Senate, or the presidency, and when I left we had the House, the presidency and the Senate. You can do this in four years.”

Tweet time…

As always I need to thank WYgal for her assistance in compiling this material.

One thing before I let ya all go…Jan I’d like you to clear up something I don’t quite understand…Why is inserting tweets in the comment section different than inserting them in a new post?

Can I please get some assistance on how to insert(imbed, tried not successful) tweets in the comments when using a PC and when using an IPad. Thanks!

It Takes A Village – VNV Tuesday: A View from the Other Side (with palate cleansers at the end) 2/21/17

Philly76 gave us meaty commentary to chew over yesterday; I’m going in the opposite direction and pulling some political cartoons from Twitter and elsewhere on the interwebs (h/t ccotenj for originally introducing this concept to our Village). But in the interests of being aware what the Trumpsters are seeing and applauding, I’m including some that are meant to appeal to our modern-day Know Nothings.

Hillary in Ohio 6-21-16

Below is a transcript of Clinton’s remarks in Columbus today, courtesy of Transcript Editors at Daily Kos:

“Thank you! Wow, thank you! Thank you! Thank you, thank you so much. Thank you all. Well thank you, it is wonderful to be back here in Columbus.

I want, I want to thank Whitney for not just her wonderful introduction but for all the hard work that she has done to build her career and the very strong endorsement she has given to Fort Hayes Career Center. Everyone associated with Fort Hayes, I want to thank you. This is exactly how we will create more good jobs with more opportunities for more people and it’s exciting to be here in a place that does just that.

In Support of Dr. Larycia Hawkins

Wheaton College, an evangelical Christian liberal arts college in Illinois was founded by abolitionists in 1860. Over 150 years have passed since that time, and Wheaton is again faced with taking sides in a controversy. This time it is not the question of the enslavement of blacks, it is the question of academic freedom for a black professor, Dr. Larycia Hawkins, who in 2013 became the first black female tenured professor at Wheaton. She has taken a stance on a question of theology — do Jews, Christians, and Muslim worship the same God?”

The institution is no stranger to controversy. As the world changes outside of its hallowed halls, Wheaton has had to grapple with the subject of evolution, and with LBGT students and alumni. They have gone to court to block student access to birth control and emergency contraception under the Affordable Care Act.
